CEO Paul Klymenko and ABC Tissue Products' Brand Manager Loretta Lau announce Naturale Toilet Tissue, our newest endorsement

Toilet paper is one of the few products that can be found in every Australian home so if even a fraction of the population made the switch to recycled paper it would have to a large and positive impact.

Which is why Planet Ark CEO Paul Klymenko was proud to be joined by Loretta Lau Brand Manager at ABC Tissue Products to announce Naturale Toilet Tissue as our newest endorsed product.

Naturale is proudly Australian owned and made at an advanced recycling plant in Brisbane. The plant is FSC certified and currently produces more than 2.4 million packs each year.

There is, however, room for improvement in the purchasing of recycled toilet paper. If each Australian house used recycled toilet paper in just one bathroom they would be diverting the equivalent of up to 55,000 tonnes of paper from landfill.

Research released for National Recycling Week shows that about one in two people have concerns about the quality of recycled paper. But over the years the technology used to make recycled paper has improved significantly. Gone are the days of off-white and course paper. The modern product is as soft on you as on the environment.

About one in three people said they don’t buy it simply because they don’t think about it. Which is why Naturale has joined Planet Ark as the Major Sponsor of National Recycling Week.

Recycle the Wrap

Naturale comes wrapped in plastic, which provides the best possible protection from moisture and damage during transport. To provide a responsible disposal option for the wrap Naturale has signed up to the REDcycle program, which has free soft plastic collection bins in Coles and Woolworths supermarkets across metro and major regional areas of the country. The plastic is made into furniture for schools. Find out more about the program.
