  • Be a part of the Planet Ark team and help support the transition to a circular economy in Australia!

  • Work for one of Australia's best known environmental not-for-profits, which has over 30 years of experience.

  • Enjoy a 9-day fortnight working with a passionate and enthusiastic team to drive positive change in business, government and the community.

Positive actions are at the core of every decision we make. We are defined by what we are for, not by what we are against. Our goal is to build a better world –  a world where people thrive in balance with nature

About the role

We’re looking for a progressive thinker to join our team, someone who’s always striving to improve and try new things to stay ahead of the pack.

As the Partnerships Manager, working under the Head of Partnerships, you will assist in developing and maintaining all areas of new business to help grow Planet Ark’s financial and strategic capacity. This includes leading new business acquisition, ideation and development of business solutions.

You will also lead donation strategy and execution, whilst being a key point of contact for approaches to Planet Ark for collaboration or partnership across our campaigns.

You can find out more about our campaigns here!

This is a full-time 12-month contract position with the possibility of permanent employment. The salary for this role is $80k per annum, depending on experience, + super + benefits.

After a recent trial we now offer all full-time employees a 9-day working fortnight (67.5 hours). These hours are worked with alternate Fridays as a non-working day: staff are still paid at the rate for their full contracted hours. This is a staff health and wellbeing initiative.

About you

We are looking for a strategic thinker, skilled communicator and business development expert who is passionate about securing funding and partnerships to support the growth and impact of our organisation in providing positive environmental solutions to all Australians.

  1. Tertiary qualifications in business development, commercial strategy or equivalent industry experience.

  2. Demonstrated success in a marketing/sales and/or business development role through full sales lifecycle. Corporate fundraising experience a benefit.

  3. Demonstrated ability to develop positive and enduring relationships with stakeholders across a diverse array of sectors.

  4. Excellent verbal, written, presentation and PowerPoint skills.

  5. Strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated capacity for relationship management and diplomacy, both online and in person.

  6. Ability to speak to current key environmental themes a benefit.

  7. Strong time-management skills with proven ability to manage several projects at once, to prioritise work and to work under pressure to meet tight timeframes

  8. A demonstrated personal alignment with Planet Ark’s mission and values.

 How we support our staff

  • We offer flexible working arrangements, hybrid working and a 9-day fortnight.

  • Support for a home office, including phone and internet expenses up to $200 a month.

  • Access to a range of meaningful benefits to support mental wellbeing.

  • A high level of support to grow careers through learning and development.

  • An organisational culture that rewards and recognises innovation and values, not long hours.

Planet Ark is committed to building and fostering an inclusive, diverse workplace. We believe in incorporating everyone's perspectives and experiences as this has been a significant driver of our success so far. For this reason, we strongly encourage candidates of all backgrounds, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability or age to get in touch.
