About the Australian Circular Economy Hub (ACE Hub) 

The ACE Hub is Australia’s go-to resource for circular economy thinking and action. It provides companies, individuals and communities with the tools and education to help implement circularity. 

As part of the Australian Circular Economy Hub Planet Ark developed Circularity, a new and dedicated annual circular economy conference. 

Held over two days, Circularity’s program comprises of a multi-stream conference, exhibition, networking events and Australian Circular Economy Awards ceremony.

About the opportunity: 

We are looking for a passionate, energetic and experienced Events Manager to join the Planet Ark team. Reporting to the Head of Circular Economy Development, this role will build awareness, visibility and support the success of the Australian Circular Economy Hub. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate professional with a working knowledge of sustainability, the environment and the circular economy.  

As the Events Manager, you will work with the Planet Ark team to plan, implement and coordinate a range of projects and activities. Primarily focusing on the strategic plan of the Australian Circular Economy Hub events calendar (including Circularity 2023), delivery of in-person and online events, facilitating workshops etc. 

The Events Manager will also be tasked with identifying and developing opportunities for events to promote the Planet Ark brand and its programs andsupporting the management of external speaking opportunities. 

This is a full-time 12-month contract position, 67.5 hours per fortnight.  The salary range for this role is $70k per annum + super and benefits. 

After a recent trial we currently offer all full-time employees a 9-day working fortnight (67.5hours). These hours are worked with alternate Fridays as a non-working day. Staff are still paid at the rate for their full contracted hours. This is a staff health and wellbeing initiative, and we strive to work towards implementing a 4-day working week in the future.
