Forest & Wood Products Australia (FWPA) is a not-for-profit industry services company funded by the Federal Government, member levies and research grants. FWPA has partnered with Planet Ark to encourage the use of sustainably sourced wood as a building material to related industries, as well as Australian business and consumers.
Planet Ark and FWPA work closely together on a number of partner programs to promote the use of sustainably sourced wood.
Planet Ark’s Make It Wood promotes and encourages the use of responsibly sourced wood as a building material. When sourced responsibly, wood can play a big part in helping tackle climate change. Make It Wood provides examples of how responsibly sourced wood has been used across the world as a building material and for everyday items. The campaign also highlights the many advantages of building with wood, including the health and wellbeing benefits associated with biophilic design.

This campaign offers a fresh new narrative around forestry that most of the public are unaware of – that wood is a continually renewable resource and that trees in Australia’s commercial forests are replanted.
