Planet Ark has assessed the environmental impact of Aware Sensitive’s ingredients, including biodegradability, ecotoxicity and bioaccumulation. Planet Ark loves the Aware Sensitive range because they are:

• Free of ingredients that irritate allergies and skin conditions such as optical brighteners, fragrances, dyes and enzymes

• Septic and bio cycle safe products, meaning there is no bleach, ammonia or caustic substances used (the grey water from your washing machine is safe to use on your garden, which allows you to re-use and conserve your water consumption!)

• Readily biodegradable and break down into harmless substances

• Approved by the National Asthma Council Australia’s Sensitive Choice program

• Palm oil free and phosphorus free

• Made with renewable, plant oil-based surfactants. Most other brands use petroleum oil-derived surfactants (petrochemicals are slow to biodegrade and can cause allergic reactions) or palm oil ingredients (farming of palm oil is contributing to the rapid demise of rainforests, animals and local communities in South East Asia).
