We are proud to announce our renewed partnership with Bingo Industries Limited (Bingo). The renewal of the partnership affirms both organisations deep commitment to, and strategic alignment with, the diversion of waste from landfill through recycling and resource recovery.

Since the partnership began in 2011, we’ve worked collaboratively on a number of key sustainability initiatives including a waste education program for the community and primary school aged children aimed at building awareness and imparting positive environmental practices.

Together, we are working towards a joint ambition to see Bingo become the most sustainable company on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX). One of the proposed projects to achieve this is creating a solar power network through the installation of solar panels on the rooftops of Bingo’s recycling and recovery facilities.

“Over the past seven years our partnership with Planet Ark has been invaluable. What we have been able to achieve together is something I am very proud of and with our renewed partnership we will be striving for even bigger, more ambitious sustainability goals. Our aim is to lead the industry in sustainable business practices by being a steward for change by increasing the diversion of waste from landfill and investing in new state of the art technology to increase recovery rates.” said Daniel Tartak, CEO of Bingo.

“It’s been very rewarding to work with what was once a small family owned, skip bin company and see it grow to become an exemplar for others in the recovery and recycling of Building & Demolition waste. We are extremely proud of this partnership and our relationship with Bingo Industries. They are major disruptors in the industry and together we are shaping the way forward for the waste industry,” Paul Klymenko, CEO of Planet Ark said.

“Now, for the next phase of our partnership, we’re really excited to announce our ambition to help make Bingo the most sustainable company on the ASX. We aim to achieve this goal through the installation of solar and smart battery energy systems across their sites, as well as improvements in energy and water efficiency, and even looking at how to minimise the environmental impact of their truck fleet.”

As Major Sponsors of Planet Ark’s recently refreshed ‘Recycling Near You’ website, Bingo are assisting millions of people each year search for recycling drop-off locations for a wide range of items including electronic waste, batteries, paint, mobile phones, printer cartridges, milk and juice cartons, amongst many other items.

We look forward to continuing our work with Bingo and seeing them become the ‘greenest’ company listed on the ASX.
