National Tree Day is Australia's largest community tree-planting event.  Over it’s 14-year history more than 2 million volunteers have planted over 13 million native trees and shrubs!

The new book 'Trees that Call Australia Home' is a spiritual, cultural, environmental and economic celebration of Australian trees - trees that are increasingly vital as we search for solutions to climate change, land degradation and more sustainable lifestyles into the 21st century.

Trees must play a prominent role in combating issues like climate change, loss of biodiversity and land degradation into the future.  National Tree Day and 'Trees that Call Australia Home' are both dedicated to this goal.

Quiz Question:

Victoria, Western Australia and Tasmania are home to some of the tallest trees on the Planet.

Name one of these trees.

Send your answers to awarenews@planetark.org with the subject line ‘Tree Quiz’ by 23 June to go into the draw to win one of five copies of Trees that Call Australia Home valued at $39.95 each
