National Recycling Week (12-18 November) is a great time to get involved in a range of events and activities that highlight the environmental benefits of re-use and recycling programs. The Tetra Pak Schools Recycle Right Challenge is back, so if you're a teacher, P&C member or parent, it's time to get involved!

The Tetra Pak Schools Recycle Right Challenge brings together a wide range of recycling-themed activities, lesson plans, supporting resources, and event ideas that have been developed specifically for Australian schools. Each resource has been developed to enable learning-by-doing, and learning by having fun!

The Tetra Pak Schools Recycle Right Challenge is running over a six-week period from Monday 8 October - Friday 16 November 2012. Teachers, P&C members and parents are encouraged to get their schools involved. Teachers can register their school while parents can encourage their kids' school to join up.

Throughout the six-week Challenge period and National Recycling Week, Planet Ark will be promoting recycling throughout the country in partnership with councils, businesses, communities, and the media.

By registering to participate in the Schools Recycle Right Challenge, schools will gain access to a wide range of ready-to-use materials and resources, a competition just for schools. Many of the resources are only available to registered schools - and it's completely free. Activity coordinators will also receive updates, information and support materials to help organise events, including a Getting Started Guide.
